Play video: Rehabilitate Therapy conference animation
The brief.
Rehabilitate Therapy needed a straightforward 2 to 3 minute animation for a big conference, to be viewed by around 250 people. It would set the scene for a discussion of a case study about a fictitious independent living trial.
They would supply the full transcript to be narrated over each scene, along with instructions for the visuals. The transcript had been written by lawyers, so it was dry. The challenge was to turn it into something visually engaging that an audience would want to watch.
The conference was on 10 March, so it had to be ready by the end of February. The script wasn’t finalised until mid February, so the actual production was a two week turnaround.
What I did.
I turned a dry script into a visual story, so the audience could see the people and places it described rather than just hear it read out.
I created a storyboard, designed and illustrated all of the assets, including basic After Effects rigs, recorded the voiceover, animated it, selected the music and edited it all together.
I was also tasked with designing the conference displays.
